The grain and flour manufacturer laid off 44 workers after over a century of operation due to "excess capacity in this market and declining regional volume." In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Khanna reported that ABL Space Systems Company had laid off 53 workers following the closure of its facility in Segundo, CA. Despite having raised substantial funds earlier in October and March of 2021, the company cited cost reduction as the reason for these layoffs. On January 27, Rep.
