Rep. Ro Khanna, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 17th district, has recently shared insights and updates on various legislative efforts through his social media platform. His posts highlight significant advancements in technology, healthcare reform advocacy, and legislative progress concerning child abuse prevention.

On December 12, 2024, Rep. Khanna expressed pride in the achievements of San Jose in manufacturing and innovation as part of the CHIPS and Science Act. He emphasized the importance of continuing to invest in American jobs with his statement: "As a co-author of the CHIPS and Science Act, I’m proud to see San Jose in my district lead the way in manufacturing and innovation. Let’s continue investing in good-paying American jobs."

Later that day, Khanna addressed issues surrounding private insurers and healthcare costs by advocating for Medicare for All. He pointed out public dissatisfaction with insurance companies profiting while denying care: "Americans are outraged at private insurers for profiting while denying care. @SenSanders understood this. We need Medicare for All. In the short term, we should cap out-of-pocket costs and require private insurance to cover any claim Medicare would."

In another update on December 12, Rep. Khanna announced progress on the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act which he is leading in the House. The bill passed the Senate recently, and he is urging House leadership to vote on it soon: "The Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act, which I’m leading in the House, passed the Senate yesterday. I am passionately advocating with House leadership to vote on it next week. Thanks to @ParisHilton for sharing her story and supporting survivors of abuse."
