Rep. Ro Khanna, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 17th district since 2017, has shared several updates on his activities and viewpoints through recent social media posts. Born in Philadelphia in 1976 and currently residing in Fremont, Khanna graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA and earned his JD from Yale University.

On December 7, 2024, Rep. Khanna commemorated the attack on Pearl Harbor by stating: "82 years ago, 2,403 service members and civilians were killed in a painful attack on Pearl Harbor. I had the honor of visiting the USS Arizona in August of this year to pay my respects. Today, it is vital we honor the brave people who made the ultimate sacrifice and continue…"

Two days later, on December 9, he announced an upcoming virtual town hall meeting scheduled for December 10 at 7:00 pm PT. He invited constituents to participate via YouTube: "Tomorrow, I'm hosting a virtual town hall at 7:00 pm PT. Tune in on YouTube while I provide information on my latest work in Congress and answer any questions you have." Attendees were encouraged to RSVP and submit questions beforehand.

Later that same day, Khanna expressed concern over profits amassed by major health insurers: "Last year, the 7 largest private health insurers collected $1.39 trillion in profit. It is absurd that Big Insurance is raking in trillions while Americans are pinching pennies to afford treatment. We need Medicare for All now." This statement reflects his advocacy for healthcare reform.
