Rep. Ro Khanna, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 17th district, has recently shared a series of tweets addressing significant policy issues and inviting public engagement. Born in Philadelphia in 1976 and residing in Fremont, Khanna has been an active member of Congress since 2017.

On December 4, 2024, Rep. Khanna tweeted about the importance of retirement security amidst rising prices. He stated: "Retirement is a necessity, not a luxury. Rising prices should not push it to the back burner." He further advocated for his plan with Senator Sanders to increase and expand Social Security benefits by removing the cap.

Later that day, he announced an upcoming virtual town hall scheduled for December 10 at 6 pm PT. In his tweet, he invited constituents to join him for updates on his congressional work and to participate by asking questions: "Join me on Tuesday, December 10th at 6 pm PT for a virtual town hall!"

In another tweet posted on December 4, Rep. Khanna addressed the financial burden of childcare costs that affect many families annually. He emphasized: "Childcare costs push nearly 130,000 families into poverty each year." His proposed bill aims to offer affordable childcare options while ensuring fair wages for employees.
