He stated: "I am heartbroken at the loss of Jose Zamora and send my deepest condolences to his father Jose Bautista. Nobody should have to endure the bullying and cruelty Jose faced at school or the struggles of homelessness."
The following day, on November 21, 2024, Khanna addressed financial challenges faced by teachers in America. He emphasized: "Teachers in America are already struggling to financially provide for themselves, let alone their classrooms... It’s time to give teachers a raise and invest in the public servants preparing our next generation."
Later that same day, he criticized former President Trump's actions concerning labor rights institutions: "Trump's dismantling of the NLRB is a betrayal of working-class people... The National Labor Relations Board is vital for union representation, stopping wage theft, and safeguarding against illegal working conditions."
