Ro Khanna, who has been representing California’s 17th district since 2017, has provided updates on recent job losses across various states in the manufacturing and medical management sectors. Khanna, originally from Philadelphia and currently residing in Fremont, holds a BA from the University of Chicago and a JD from Yale University. Below are the detailed notifications shared by the congressman regarding these incidents.

On April 5, 2025, Khanna reported that in Longview, Texas, "construction supplies manufacturer S & B Engineers and Constructors cut 43 jobs."

Furthermore, on the same date, Khanna shared that "Packaging products manufacturer Pregis closed in San Antonio, California. Forty-five people lost their jobs."

Khanna also highlighted on April 5, 2025, the layoffs at two different facilities with the message "In Holliston, Massachusetts, cannabis manufacturer Pharma Cann laid off 19 workers. Medical management facility, Prime MSO, LLC closed in Encino, California, costing 6 people their jobs."
