Ro Khanna, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 17th district since 2017, recently shared his views and upcoming engagements on social media. Khanna, who succeeded Mike Honda in Congress, has been vocal about political reform and healthcare issues.

On March 17, 2025, Rep. Ro Khanna questioned the ongoing influence of lobbyists and Political Action Committees (PACs) in politics despite significant public support for limiting political spending. "If 72% of Americans favor limits on political spending, why are we still allowing lobbyists and PACs to buy influence?" he asked. He advocated for his Political Reform Plan and Drain the Swamp Act to curb this influence.

Later that day, Khanna announced a town hall meeting scheduled for March 22 at Don Callejon School in Santa Clara, California. He invited constituents to attend the event to gain insights into his recent congressional activities. "Saturday, March 22nd from 12:30 - 2:00 pm PT, I’m hosting a town hall at the Don Callejon School," he wrote.

On March 19, Khanna highlighted the lobbying efforts of major Medicare Advantage firms over recent years. He reported that these companies spent substantial sums lobbying Congress to maintain profits from Medicare services. "From 2020 to 2024, the top 7 Medicare Advantage firms spent over $330 million lobbying Congress," he noted while advocating for the Save Medicare Act alongside Reps. Mark Pocan and Jan Schakowsky.
