On March 14, 2025, Rep. Khanna tweeted about layoffs at ICON Technology, Inc., a robotics printing system company based in Austin, Texas. He stated that "In Austin, Texas, 114 people were laid off from ICON Technology, Inc., a robotics printing system company, as it focuses investments on its Phoenix facility." He mentioned that bills like his CHIPS Act are crucial for positioning investments into innovative factories and manufacturing.

On the same day, another tweet by Rep. Khanna addressed job losses at Proterra Powered LLC in Greer, South Carolina. He reported that "85 people in Greer, South Carolina, lost their jobs when auto battery manufacturer Proterra Powered LLC conducted mass layoffs." He advocated for protecting federal investments into U.S.-made battery manufacturing systems to maintain good-paying jobs.

Also on March 14th, Rep. Khanna noted layoffs at IGM Biosciences, Inc., a biotech company located in Mountain View, California. According to his tweet: "IGM Biosciences, Inc., a biotech company located in Mountain View, California, laid off 100 workers." The company cited cost-saving measures due to nearly $821.2 million in losses by 2023 as the reason for these layoffs.
