Ro Khanna, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 17th district since 2017, has recently shared his views on various issues through social media posts. Born in Philadelphia in 1976 and currently residing in Fremont, Khanna holds a BA from the University of Chicago and a JD from Yale University.

On March 7, 2025, Khanna criticized egg producers for allegedly exploiting the Bird Flu situation to increase prices. He stated that while companies like Cal-Maine are achieving record profits, consumers are facing significant price hikes: "Egg producers, like Cal-Maine, are using the Bird Flu as an excuse to fleece Americans. While they reach record profits, people are paying 157% more for eggs." He urged the Trump administration to hold grocery giants accountable to reduce grocery bills.

Later that day, Khanna commemorated the historical significance of John Lewis and other civil rights activists who marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma sixty years ago. He emphasized their commitment to justice despite facing violence: "Sixty years ago today, John Lewis and many courageous civil rights activists marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma. Their pursuit of justice was met with violence and reminds us that truth and nonviolence prevail in America."

In another post on March 7, Khanna addressed environmental concerns related to carbon capture incentives under the 45Q tax credit. He criticized this approach for potentially increasing carbon emissions through enhanced oil recovery: "The 45Q tax credit rewards companies for every ton of carbon captured... My bill with @RepScottPerry would bar companies using this..."
