Ro Khanna, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 17th district since 2017, has expressed concerns through his recent tweets about potential policy changes affecting American citizens. Born in Philadelphia in 1976 and currently residing in Fremont, Khanna holds degrees from the University of Chicago and Yale University.

On March 3, 2025, Khanna highlighted the importance of Medicaid coverage for Americans. He stated that "Medicaid covers 72 million Americans. Defunding it will rip access to quality and affordable healthcare from 40% of our country." He urged Congress to prioritize ordinary Americans over the interests of the wealthy.

Later that day, he addressed potential staffing cuts at the Social Security Administration (SSA). According to Khanna, "Over 73,000,000 Americans rely on Social Security payments... If Trump cuts 50% of the SSA staff, he'll leave tens of thousands of vulnerable seniors and families at risk."

In another tweet on March 3rd, Khanna criticized impending tariffs by stating that "Tomorrow, Trump will impose senseless 25% tariffs on our allies, Mexico and Canada." He warned that this action could negatively impact Americans by increasing prices and causing economic instability.
