Rep. Ro Khanna, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 17th district since 2017, has recently addressed several issues on social media. Born in Philadelphia in 1976 and currently residing in Fremont, Khanna holds degrees from the University of Chicago and Yale University.

On February 7, 2025, Khanna highlighted global geopolitical concerns by stating: ".@democracynow, it's not just about Palestine, Greenland, or Panama. It's about standing against a 19th-century colonizer's model of the world."

Later that day, he discussed economic challenges faced by workers due to plant closures. He mentioned the impact on Liberty, Missouri: "The largest closing was in Liberty, Missouri, where 406 workers lost their jobs when the Jack Cooper, an automotive plant, ended its contract with Ford Motors after 40 years." He also referenced his legislative efforts to address these issues through initiatives like his Steel Modernization Act.

In another post from February 7, he provided broader context for job losses across the nation: "This week, 751 Americans lost their jobs when two manufacturing plants closed and two conducted large layoffs."
