Rep. Ro Khanna, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 17th district, shared his perspectives on pressing issues through a series of tweets. His comments address topics ranging from pharmaceutical pricing to educational policy and environmental safety.

On February 4, 2025, Rep. Khanna highlighted the financial impact of pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) on drug prices. He stated that "The top PBMs made over $7.3 billion in five years marking up the prices of specialty generic drugs for conditions like cancer and HIV." He criticized the current system where "PBMs rake in billions while Americans suffer," advocating for removing intermediaries from drug price negotiations.

Later that day, Khanna responded to a report by NBC regarding potential changes in federal education policy. He noted that "NBC is reporting that Trump will eliminate the Department of Education with an executive order." Describing this action as "an assault on America's children," he expressed concern over its implications.

In another tweet posted on February 4, 2025, Khanna discussed his recent visit to East Palestine and legislative efforts related to environmental safety. He recounted hearing "heartbreaking stories of how hazardous materials from the train derailment harmed their health." In response, he announced plans to reintroduce his DERAIL Act with Rep. Deluzio, aiming to expand the definition of hazardous materials and enhance protections for small communities.
