Rep. Ro Khanna, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 17th district, shared his perspectives on the current economic situation and legislative priorities through a series of tweets. Khanna has been in office since 2017, succeeding Mike Honda, and has consistently voiced his concerns regarding economic policies and workers' rights.

On March 19, 2025, Rep. Khanna expressed concern about the state of the economy under former President Trump's administration. In a tweet, he highlighted several issues: "Consumer confidence is at its lowest since 2022. The stock market is continuing to drop. Prices for everyday items are still rising." He attributed these economic challenges to what he described as "Trump's erratic policies," which he believes are jeopardizing growth and retirement savings.

Later that day, Rep. Khanna invited constituents to join him for a town hall meeting scheduled for March 22nd at Don Callejon School in Santa Clara, California. He announced the event via Twitter: "Join me for my March town hall...for updates on my latest work in Congress." The town hall aims to provide updates on his congressional activities and engage with community members.

On March 20, 2025, Khanna criticized former President Trump's decision to rescind an executive order by President Biden that mandated federal contractors be paid a minimum wage of $15 per hour. He tweeted: "Now, the minimum is $7.25/hour." Emphasizing the need for legislative action, he stated that no full-time employee should earn such low wages and called on Congress to raise the minimum wage.
