Student artwork is currently on display at the Stanford Art Gallery as part of the 10th annual Undergraduate Juried Exhibition. This year's exhibition, titled "When The Angels Came...," takes its name from an acrylic and pastel piece by Gregory Medina-Kenyon, a student expected to graduate in 2024. The show was curated by Xiaoze Xie, who holds the position of Paul L. and Phyllis Wattis Professor in Art within Stanford's School of Humanities and Sciences. The Department of Art & Art History hosts this event every fall quarter.
Students from various majors were invited to submit their original creations for consideration by a jury composed of department faculty and curators from the Bay Area art community. The selected works span multiple mediums, including photography, painting, sculpture, video, installation, and collage. Participating artists collaborated with professional staff to install these pieces in September.
The exhibition will conclude on December 6.
