Trevor Haskins has been drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 15th round of the 2025 MLB Draft, holding the 450th overall pick. The announcement was made on Monday.
Haskins, who hails from San Jose, California, was recognized as ACC and NCBWA National Player of the Week on February 24 this year. He concluded his time at Stanford with a standout season, earning All-ACC third team honors while playing third base. Over 51 games, he maintained a batting average of .326, scored 46 runs, hit 13 doubles and 14 home runs, and accumulated 42 RBIs. Notably, he led his team with 23 multi-hit games and had hits in all but eight games.
Throughout his career at Stanford, Haskins recorded a .294 batting average with 76 runs scored, 29 doubles, one triple, and 22 home runs across 127 games. A two-time Pac-12 champion with Stanford’s team, he achieved a memorable performance against Texas Tech on April 2, 2024—hitting for the cycle and going four-for-five with four runs scored.
In his freshman year at Stanford, Haskins secured a walk-off RBI-single against No.13 Texas State to advance to the super regional round.
With Haskins’ draft selection this year under head coach David Esquer’s leadership since the start of his tenure in 2018—a total of thirty-two players have been drafted from Stanford.
