All nine members of the Stanford women’s tennis team have been recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. This accolade was announced on Monday, highlighting their academic achievements alongside their athletic commitments. Additionally, the team has been honored as an ITA All-Academic Team.
To qualify for these distinctions, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher during the academic year. Programs are required to achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above to be named an ITA All-Academic Team.
Under the leadership of Peter and Helen Bing Director of Women’s Tennis Frankie Brennan, Stanford concluded its season with a 17-9 record. The team also marked its 43rd consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament and reached the Round of 16 for the 42nd time.
The Cardinal honorees include Caroline Driscoll (Political Science), Valerie Glozman (Undeclared), Katherine Hui (Undeclared), Connie Ma (Human Biology), Chidimma Okpara (Community Health & Prevention Research), Morgan Shaffer (Undeclared), Emma Sun (Computer Science), Valencia Xu (International Relations), and Alexandra Yepifanova (Science Technology & Society).
