Stanford University’s women’s squash team completed its regular season with three consecutive wins against ranked opponents, improving its record to 7-2. Over the weekend, Stanford defeated No. 13 Columbia 9-0, No. 8 Yale 5-4, and No. 7 Cornell 8-1.

Tiana Parasrampuria and Valerie Huang both remained undefeated for the season after winning all their matches during the weekend. Parasrampuria’s season record is now 8-0, while Huang stands at 6-0. Riya Shankaran and Khushi Kukadia also went undefeated in their matches this weekend, each finishing with a perfect slate.

The team now prepares for the MASC Championship in Charlottesville, Virginia, where it aims to defend its conference title for a third consecutive year. The competition begins on Saturday, February 14.

In the match against Columbia on February 6, Stanford won all individual contests. Amelie Haworth defeated Yeheni Kuruppu in straight sets (11-8, 11-8, 11-5), and similar results followed throughout the lineup.

Facing Yale on February 7 proved more competitive. Stanford edged out a narrow victory by winning five of nine matches. Notable performances included Riya Shankaran defeating Elise Kang (3-1) and Tiana Parasrampuria securing a straight-set win over Alyssa Ho.

Against Cornell on February 8, Stanford again dominated most matches. Zhi Xuan Goh overcame Aishwarya Khubchandani in three sets (11-3, 11-2, 11-7), while Parasrampuria came from behind to defeat Christa Kay (10-12, 11-2, 12-10, 11-3).

The Cardinal will enter the upcoming championship as one of the top contenders based on their recent performance.
