No. 3 Stanford women’s swimming and diving team secured a strong victory over No. 11 USC, winning 14 out of 16 events at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center on Saturday. The final score was 208-91 in favor of Stanford.
Torri Huske led the Cardinal with three individual wins, including setting a pool record in the 100 free with a time of 47.19 seconds. She also won the 200 free (1:42.26) and the 100 fly (50.66).
Caroline Bricker matched Huske’s performance by also claiming three victories: she finished first in the 200 fly (1:52.77), the 500 free (4:40.88), and the 200 IM (1:57.13).
Gigi Johnson achieved a personal best to win the 50 free in 21.99 seconds, while Bailey O’Regan won the distance freestyle event with a time of 9:44.23 in the 1000 free, giving Stanford another sweep in freestyle events for the second consecutive day.
Lucy Thomas continued her success from earlier meets by winning the 100 breaststroke with a time of 59.30 seconds, Levenia Sim took first place in the 200 backstroke (1:54.90), and Lucy Bell dominated in the 200 breaststroke (2:05.29).
Stanford began by winning the opening relay event—the 200 medley relay—with Alana Berlin, Lucy Bell, Gigi Johnson, and Annam Olasewere finishing at 1:34.96. The meet concluded with another relay win for Stanford as Olasewere, Huske, Johnson, and Thomas set a pool record of 1:27.57 in the 200 free relay.
On diving boards, Molly Gray earned her third win of the weekend by scoring 330 points to claim first place on the three-meter board.
Stanford will next compete at home against San Jose State on January 24 for Senior Day at Avery Aquatics Center.
