Stanford University’s women’s golf team, currently ranked No. 1, will face No. 12 Wake Forest in the match play finals of the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at Shoreacres in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Stanford finished second in stroke play, ending a streak of winning every stroke play event during the 2024-25 season.

Megha Ganne led Stanford with consistent performances throughout the tournament. She finished her final round with three birdies over the last four holes to post a 1-under 69 and was one of only two golfers to record three rounds under par. Ganne ended up fourth overall at 3-under, five shots behind individual champion Macy Pate from Wake Forest.

Andrea Revuelta also contributed for Stanford by finishing even-par after three rounds and placing seventh overall. It marked her sixth career top-10 finish. Kelly Xu recovered from an early deficit in the tournament by finishing strong on both days and tied for ninth place, earning her eleventh career top-10 result.

Stanford’s second-place finish secured them a spot against Wake Forest in match play for the championship title on Wednesday. This is the third straight year that Stanford and Wake Forest will meet in match play at a major event; Wake Forest won their previous encounters at both the 2025 ACC Women’s Golf semifinals and the 2023 East Lake Cup finals.

The finals begin at 10:20 a.m. PT, with television coverage scheduled from 1–4 p.m. PT on Golf Channel.

Matchups for Wednesday’s final include:
Kelly Xu vs. Anne-Sterre Den Dunnen
Meja Örtengren vs. Casey Weidenfeld
Paula Martín Sampedro vs. Morgan Ketchum
Megha Ganne vs. Macy Pate
Andrea Revuelta vs. Chloe Kovelesky

“By virtue of being a top-two seed in stroke play, Stanford has earned the right to play for the Stephens Cup title against Wake Forest in match play on Wednesday.”

This event continues to highlight strong competition between these two programs as they vie for another major collegiate golf title.
