Stanford women’s basketball secures decisive win over Boston College

Stanford University’s women’s basketball team defeated Boston College 77-52 in a game held Thursday night in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The Cardinal improved their record to 15-4 overall and 4-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Hailee Swain led Stanford with a career-high 15 points and matched her personal best with seven rebounds. She also recorded two steals and finished with a team-best plus-minus of +38 during her 29 minutes on the court.

Courtney Ogden contributed 13 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Nunu Agara added 10 points and eight rebounds, while Lara Somfai scored 10 points.

Stanford established control early with a 13-0 run spanning the first and second quarters. During this stretch, Swain converted a three-point play after grabbing an offensive rebound off a missed three-pointer. Swain, Agara, and Ogden each secured three offensive rebounds in the contest.

Late in the second quarter, Stanford made five consecutive field goals. Ogden capped this sequence with a three-pointer at the 1:34 mark to extend Stanford’s lead to 41-15.

Swain closed out the third quarter by putting back her own missed shot as time expired, giving Stanford its largest lead of the game at 66-24.

All fourteen available players for Stanford participated in the game, with none playing more than thirty minutes.

Stanford will next face Syracuse on Sunday at 11 a.m. Pacific Time (2 p.m. Eastern) on ACC Network.
