Stanford sends six athletes to U20 World Aquatics Junior Championships in Brazil

Stanford University will have six representatives at the upcoming U20 World Aquatics Junior World Championships, which begin August 10 in Salvador, Brazil. Five of these athletes—Kamryn Barone, Christine Carpenter, Lucy Haaland-Ford, Quinn Healy and Amber Nowaczek—are current Stanford student-athletes competing for Team USA. Izzy Scott will compete for Australia.

Team USA has been placed in Group B and is scheduled to play against Hungary, Greece and Italy during the group stage. Australia is in Group D and will face Canada, China and South Africa.

This event brings together young water polo talent from around the world as teams compete for a world championship title.
