Stanford sophomore midfielder Trevor Islam has been named ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after scoring both game-winning goals in a pair of victories for the Cardinal. This marks Islam’s first conference accolade and comes during a season where he has set career highs in several categories, including goals, points, shots, shots on goal, and game-winning goals. Islam leads Stanford with four goals so far this year.

In last Tuesday’s match against Saint Mary’s, Islam scored in the 68th minute after maneuvering past the opposing goalkeeper to give Stanford a 3-1 win. He followed up with another decisive performance on Saturday by netting the winning goal in the 86th minute as Stanford completed a comeback victory over Syracuse, finishing 3-2.

“It is Stanford’s first weekly ACC award winner of the 2025 campaign, as Islam shares the honor with Virginia midfielder Luke Burns. Boston College’s Andrej Borak and Virginia’s Casper Mols were named ACC Co-Defensive Players of the Week.”

Stanford will next play San Jose State on Wednesday before hosting Virginia Tech for its first home conference match of the season on September 21.
