Stanford University seniors Jasmine Aikey and Elise Evans have been named among the 15 semifinalists for the 2025 MAC Hermann Trophy, an award given annually to the top NCAA Division I soccer players. The announcement was made by United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) following a vote by NCAA Division I women’s soccer coaches.
Aikey, recognized as a semifinalist for the second time in her career, has received several honors this season, including All-ACC first team selection, ACC Championship MVP, and ACC All-Tournament. She is also a finalist for TopDrawerSoccer Player of the Year. This season, Aikey has scored in 15 of Stanford’s 23 games and contributed at least one point in 19 matches. She leads her team with 51 points—20 goals and 11 assists—with her goal tally ranking fourth nationally. Aikey’s 42 career goals place her tied for ninth in Stanford history, while her 113 career points rank tenth. In postseason play, she has recorded 11 goals and nine assists.
Evans has been named ACC Defensive Player of the Year, earned All-ACC first team honors, and made the ACC All-Tournament team. As captain and center back, Evans leads Stanford in minutes played this season with 1,976. She has seven goals and six assists for a total of 20 points. Her defensive leadership has helped Stanford achieve eight shutouts this year while limiting opponents to an average of one goal per game.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is regarded as the highest individual honor in NCAA Division I soccer since its establishment in 1967. Last year’s winners were Michael Adedokun from Ohio State and Kate Faasse from Duke.
Other notable names on this year’s semifinalist list include returning semifinalists Jordynn Dudley from Florida State and Izzy Engle from Notre Dame.
Stanford athletes have previously won the MAC Hermann Trophy six times: Andi Sullivan (2017), Catarina Macario (2018–2019), Kelley O’Hara (2009), Christen Press (2010), and Teresa Noyola (2011). Three women’s finalists will be announced on December 10, with winners revealed at a banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis on January 9, 2026.
