Five Stanford athletes contributed to Team USA’s victory at the World Aquatics U20 World Championships, where the team secured a 16-15 win over Spain in Salvador, Brazil. The roster included Kamryn Barone, Christine Carpenter, Lucy Haaland-Ford, Quinn Healy, and Amber Nowaczek.

The win marks Team USA’s fifth title in the Junior Women’s division and their first since 2015. The team remained undefeated through six games and faced close competition, winning four matches by two goals or fewer. This run included shootout victories against Greece and Italy.

In the final match against Spain, Lucy Haaland-Ford scored four goals and was named player of the match. Christine Carpenter recorded eight saves as goalkeeper, while Kamryn Barone added two goals to help secure the gold medal.
