Stanford University had three players finish in the top 10 at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, according to an April 4 announcement. The event concluded on Saturday with the final round played at Augusta National Golf Club.
This marks the first time since the tournament began in 2019 that one college has placed three competitors in the top ten. Meja Örtengren entered the final round in second place, just one stroke behind the leader, while Andrea Revuelta was four strokes back. By day’s end, Revuelta climbed into outright second place and Örtengren finished tied for fourth with four other players.
Revuelta shot a 4-under-par 68 during her final round, tying for the lowest score of the day and setting a new record for Stanford players at this stage of the competition. She started with a bogey but recovered strongly, finishing five under par over her last seventeen holes. Her performance included three consecutive birdies on holes eleven through thirteen and nearly achieved a hole-in-one on twelve—an accomplishment recorded only three times during The Masters history and not since 1988.
Örtengren kept pace with leaders early on by making four birdies and playing two under par through nine holes but struggled on her back nine with four bogeys. She still managed to post a score of seventy-four, marking her best round at Augusta since 2022 and securing her highest career finish at this event by tying for fourth place.
Paula Martín Sampedro delivered one of Saturday’s strongest early rounds after starting seven shots off the lead. With two quick birdies and only one bogey throughout her round, she carded a three-under sixty-nine to finish ninth overall—joining both teammates among ANWA’s top performers. Martín Sampedro was also among just four golfers who finished all three rounds below par (71-69-69).
Maria Jose Marin won this year’s championship with a final-round sixty-eight to finish fourteen under par—a new scoring record for ANWA.
