Beginning with the 2025 season, Stanford University is relocating the Red Zone student section at Stanford Stadium. The new location will be on the east sideline, extending from Section 136 into the south end zone and concluding at Section 104. This change aims to enhance the atmosphere by positioning students closer to the visiting team’s bench.

Stanford recognizes this adjustment impacts some Season Ticket Members and ticket buyers. Affected fans will be re-seated on the Stanford bench side, which was previously reserved for students.

For Sections 101, 136, and 137, ticket holders are reassigned to mirror image sections to maintain a similar viewing experience. Sections 138 through 140 do not have exact mirrors; therefore, comparable seating has been arranged.

Fans who have already downloaded tickets will see automatic updates on July 17. Those who haven’t can access their online accounts or contact the Athletics Ticket Office for assistance. Paper tickets reflecting new seat assignments will be issued by late July.

The move is part of an effort to strengthen home field advantage for Stanford Football. “We believe that the new location of the Red Zone will give our team an edge at home,” stated a representative from Stanford.

Options are available for those seeking different seat assignments via an online upgrade feature or through direct contact with the Athletics Ticket Office.

For those who have transferred tickets, updates occur automatically without further action needed. StubHub listings in affected sections have been removed but can be relisted through Stanford’s ticketing account system.

For more details on managing tickets, a mobile ticketing guide is available online.
