Stanford men’s basketball team has received the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award. The organization announced this on Thursday, along with the recognition of four players on the Honors Court.

Benny Gealer, Chisom Okpara, Ryan Agarwal, and Cole Kastner were named to the NABC Honors Court. This award is given to players who are at least juniors and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher. It is the first time these four players have received this honor.

The Team Academic Excellence Award requires a program to achieve a team GPA of 3.0 or higher for the previous academic year. Stanford was one of ten schools in the ACC to receive this award and one of seven with at least four honorees on the Honors Court.

In its inaugural season in the ACC, Stanford finished with a 21-14 overall record for the 2024-25 season. This marked their most total victories since 2014-15 and matched a program record with 17 wins at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal also went 9-1 at home in the ACC last season.
