Stanford men’s swimming and diving earned two additional All-America honors on Mar. 27 during the third day of the 2026 NCAA swimming and diving championships in Atlanta. Daniel Li and Ethan Ekk both secured 11th-place finishes in their respective events, contributing to Stanford’s overall performance at the meet.
The recognition is significant as it highlights individual achievements for the Cardinal, even though no team members advanced to a Friday night final. Strong performances in morning preliminaries placed several athletes near personal bests and close to advancing further.
Daniel Li achieved a career-best finish by placing 11th in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 1:51.53, marking his second consecutive year as a Second Team All-American after finishing 16th last year. Go Nagaoka also competed in the same event, posting a time of 1:55.14 and showing early speed by leading at the quarter mark.
Ethan Ekk became an individual All-American for the first time with his performance in the 500 freestyle, clocking in at 4:11.50 for an overall placement of eleventh. This marks Ekk’s second All-America honor this week following his participation on Stanford’s second-place relay team earlier in the meet.
Other notable performances included Liam Custer and Henry McFadden competing closely together in the 500 free, while Finn Harland, Zhier Fan, Rafael Gu, and Andres Dupont Cabrera represented Stanford in the morning’s medley relay but finished outside All-America status with an overall placement of twenty-third.
Misha Andriyuk led Stanford divers on springboard with a score that placed him twenty-second overall; Gunnar Grubbs finished thirty-ninth. As competition heads into its final day—with six events remaining—Stanford sits tenth overall with ninety-five points.
