In its most recent meet, Stanford secured six event titles and achieved a 320.100-309.700 win over No. 9 California at Haas Pavilion during the season opener. Nick Kuebler and David Shamah each earned two event titles, while Kiran Mandava won on pommel horse and Wade Nelson took first in vault.
Following this victory, Stanford athletes swept the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) weekly awards for the first time since March 11, 2025. Redshirt senior Nick Kuebler was named Gymnast of the Week; Jun Iwai received Freshman of the Week honors; and Kiran Mandava was recognized as Specialist of the Week—each earning their first career MPSF honor. Mandava also received National Specialist of the Week from the College Gymnastics Association (CGA).
Last season, Stanford finished as national runner-up at the NCAA Championships with a season-best score of 332.061—less than two-tenths behind Michigan’s winning total of 332.224. Asher Hong won individual NCAA titles in floor exercise and still rings and joined Mark Berlaga, Jeremy Bischoff, Taylor Burkhart, Ian Lasic-Ellis, Colt Walker, and Khoi Young in earning a combined total of eleven All-America honors.
Stanford returns three gymnasts from last year’s NCAA Championships lineup: six-time NCAA champion Asher Hong; Nick Kuebler, who won the floor national title in 2023; still rings All-American Arun Chhetri; and two-time NCAA team champion Marcus Kushner.
The Cardinal roster includes fourteen returning gymnasts from last season’s runner-up team as well as new freshmen with significant national team and international experience: Jun Iwai, Joey Nieves, Divier Ramos-Delgado, Deano Roberts, and Michael Scheiner.
