Stanford University has announced the signing of Myles Jones to its men’s basketball program for the 2025-26 season. Kyle Smith, Anne and Tony Joseph Director of Men’s Basketball, confirmed that Jones will join as the fourth freshman in Stanford’s class of 2025 and is the sixth newcomer to the roster.
“Myles is a highly-skilled guard who has excellent feel. He can provide playmaking and long-range shooting,” said Smith. “He adds to our young core, and he will have a great opportunity to learn under the tutelage of our two senior guards, Benny and Jeremy.”
Jones, a 6-foot-3 guard from Sacramento, previously committed as part of Stanford’s 2026 recruiting class but reclassified to join earlier. At Modesto Christian, he averaged 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, and led his team with 3.7 assists per game during his junior year. His performance helped Modesto Christian secure a perfect record in league play and win a second consecutive Tri-City Athletic League championship.
Jones was recognized twice as a first team all-conference player during his sophomore and junior years and named section player of the year as a sophomore.
“Myles comes from an athletic family and learned the game from his father, who was a highly successful head coach in the Sacramento area,” continued Smith. “He understands the game in a way that Stanford fans will appreciate.”
