The Stanford men’s golf team won The Goodwin tournament on Mar. 28, marking its first home soil victory since 2019. The team finished with a score of 17-under par over three days, securing its second win of the 2025-26 season.
This win is significant as it represents Stanford’s 17th championship at The Goodwin and breaks a multi-year streak without a home victory. It highlights the team’s strong performance throughout the season.
On the final day, Stanford started one shot behind but managed to pull ahead by shooting six-under par in the morning wave. Edan Cui contributed with a birdie on hole two and finished his tournament at six-over par. Ethan Gao and Nathan Wang both shot one-under for the day; Gao ended tied for 26th at one-under overall, while Wang tied for 19th place at two-under after earning five birdies during his round.
Dean Greyserman added to Stanford’s momentum with a two-under performance that included three birdies, finishing tied for eighth place at five-under par. Jay Leng secured the team championship with a final round score of two-under, ending tied for third place overall at seven-under.
Individual performances also stood out: TK Chantananuwat recorded three birdies to finish eight-over; Kush Arora had a hole-in-one on hole seventeen despite battling through his round; Cooper Stearns achieved his best collegiate round by finishing one-under.
Stanford will compete next in The Western Intercollegiate starting Monday, April 13.
