Stanford University’s football team has finalized its schedule for the 2026 season, following the Atlantic Coast Conference’s (ACC) announcement of game dates for all member teams.

The season will begin with a Week 0 matchup against Hawai’i on Saturday, August 29. This is the third time in four years that Stanford opens its season against the Rainbow Warriors, but it is the first meeting between these teams at Stanford Stadium.

ACC competition starts for Stanford when they host Miami on Friday, September 4. The Hurricanes are returning to play after their loss in the National Championship to Indiana. “That game will be the first time the Hurricanes take the field following their 27-21 loss in the National Championship to Indiana.” It is also notable as this marks two consecutive seasons where Stanford hosts a College Football Playoff runner-up.

Georgia Tech will visit Stanford on Saturday, September 26. The Yellow Jackets began their previous season with an 8-0 record and achieved a No. 7 ranking in the AP Poll before concluding their campaign in the Pop-Tarts Bowl. This contest represents the first-ever meeting between Stanford and Georgia Tech.

Stanford’s home schedule continues with back-to-back games in October. The team will face Elon during Reunion Homecoming on Saturday, October 17, closing out nonconference play. The next week brings a matchup against NC State, scheduled for either Friday, October 23 or Saturday, October 24; final scheduling depends on league and television decisions.

The regular season wraps up with SMU coming to Stanford Stadium on Saturday, November 28. This follows Thanksgiving and marks SMU’s second trip to play at Stanford since their initial appearance in 2024.

Stanford will travel east for five games over nine weeks starting with Duke on September 19. Other road games include Wake Forest (October 3), Notre Dame (October 10), Louisville (October 31), and Virginia Tech (November 14).

The annual rivalry game—the Big Game—against California is set for November 21 at California Memorial Stadium. “Stanford will attempt to retain the Axe on the road and win at California for the first time since 2020.”

Game times and network information are expected to be released later.
