Zach Ertz, a former Stanford Cardinal, achieved a significant milestone in Week 8 of the NFL season by reaching 800 career receptions. This places him among an elite group of NFL players.

Other Stanford alumni also had notable performances during the week. Harrison Phillips contributed to the New York Jets’ first win of the season. Ethan Bonner continued to see more playing time with the Miami Dolphins.

Several games featured former Cardinal athletes, including matchups such as the Los Angeles Chargers defeating the Minnesota Vikings 37-10 and the Miami Dolphins winning over the Atlanta Falcons 34-10. The New York Jets narrowly beat the Cincinnati Bengals 39-38, while other results included victories for teams like the Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills.

Some former Stanford players did not participate this week due to bye weeks or other reasons. Players on bye included Thomas Booker (Las Vegas Raiders), Simi Fehoko (Arizona Cardinals), Elijah Higgins (Arizona Cardinals), Joshua Karty (Los Angeles Rams), Kyu Blu Kelly (Las Vegas Raiders), Walker Little (Jacksonville Jaguars), Colby Parkinson (Los Angeles Rams), and Michael Wilson (Arizona Cardinals). Paulson Adebo (New York Giants), Davis Mills (Houston Texans), and Andrus Peat (Pittsburgh Steelers) did not play.

“Zach Ertz joins some elite company on MNF,” according to coverage highlighting his accomplishment.

The performances of these athletes demonstrate continued contributions from Stanford alumni across multiple NFL teams.
