Stanford defeats Georgia Tech on Senior Day ahead of regular season finale

No. 5 Stanford women’s volleyball team secured a 3-1 victory over Georgia Tech at Maples Pavilion on Wednesday. The win came during the team’s Senior Day, where Elia Rubin and Jordyn Harvey led the Cardinal with double-doubles.

Stanford, now holding a 26-4 overall record and a 17-2 mark in ACC play, hit .314 as a team while limiting Georgia Tech to .206. The result keeps Stanford tied for first place in the ACC standings with No. 4 Pittsburgh.

Rubin contributed 13 kills on .417 hitting along with 10 digs, marking her ninth double-double of the season. She also added three blocks and an ace, increasing her career total to 146 aces. Harvey matched Rubin with 13 kills on .346 hitting and recorded 14 digs for her fourth double-double this year.

The program honored Rubin and fellow senior Anna Pringle after the match. Pringle finished with four digs in her role as defensive specialist.

Freshman setter Logan Parks started for Stanford, registering 18 assists, four digs, and a block over two sets before sophomore Taylor Yu entered to finish with 33 assists, two digs, two blocks, and a kill.

Other notable performances included outside hitter Julia Blyashovn’s 12 kills plus an ace; middle blocker Lizzy Andrew’s nine kills and five blocks; and Erika Sayer’s eight kills on .429 hitting alongside two blocks. Libero Spencer Etzler provided six digs and an ace while Koko Kirsch added two digs and an assist.

Georgia Tech was paced by Anna Fiedorowicz’s match-high 16 kills along with seven digs, four blocks, and two aces. With this result, Stanford improves its all-time record against Georgia Tech to 6-0.

Stanford will conclude its regular season Saturday at No. 7 Louisville with an opportunity to secure at least a share of the ACC title.
