Four members of the Stanford beach volleyball team have been selected to compete in the Women’s Pairs Championship at the 2025 AVCA Beach National Championships. The event is scheduled for November 7-9 at John Hunt Park Sand Volleyball Complex in Huntsville, Alabama.

The pairs representing Stanford are junior Brooke Rockwell with sophomore Avery Jackson, and sophomore Charlotta Bell with senior Kelly Belardi. Jackson and Rockwell enter as the No. 2 seed, while Bell and Belardi are seeded No. 3 among a field of 64 pairs.

Schools were awarded bids for the pairs event based on performance during the previous spring season. Stanford’s coaching staff chose which student-athletes would represent the program in the tournament. Pairings were seeded using current TruVolley rankings.

Both Jackson and Rockwell have prior experience competing in Huntsville. Rockwell finished third as a sophomore alongside Ruby Sorra in 2024, and was runner-up as a freshman with Xolani Hodel in 2023.

Stanford is one of only two programs, along with Cal Poly, to have both entries seeded within the top ten pairs for this year’s tournament. It is also the only school to have both pairs ranked among the top three.

The championship will use a bracket format over three days. Teams that win remain in contention for the title, while teams that lose move into placement brackets.

Jackson and Rockwell will open play against Tampa’s Fredette-Huffman/Peterson pair at 8:30 a.m. PT. Bell and Belardi begin their tournament against Houston Christian’s Landmark/Zeigler duo at 9:45 a.m. PT.

Updates throughout the weekend will be provided on Stanford’s X and Instagram accounts.

“Jackson/Rockwell and Belardi/Bell enter as the Women’s Pairs Tournament No. 2 and No. 3 seeds, respectively.”

A recap of Stanford’s results will be posted after competition concludes.
