Stanford will have a strong presence at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, with six athletes set to compete. Among them, Jenna Flynn, Ryann Neushul, Jewel Roemer, and Ella Woodhead have been selected for the 14-player Team USA roster. The American team aims to secure their ninth World Championship title and defend their 2024 crown.
Flynn, Neushul, and Roemer are returning Olympians from the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. These athletes have been recognized as multi-time ACWPC All-Americans and played a crucial role in leading Stanford to the 2025 NCAA title. Notably, Neushul is distinguished as Stanford’s only four-time NCAA champion. Woodhead has also contributed significantly as part of two NCAA title teams in 2023 and 2025.
Team USA is scheduled to begin their tournament against China on Thursday, July 10, at 9:10 p.m. PT.
Additionally, former Cardinal athlete Dani Jackovich and UCLA transfer Sienna Green will represent Australia at the championships. Both Jackovich and Green were instrumental in securing a silver medal for Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Jackovich is notable for being Stanford’s first non-U.S. medalist in school history. Green stands out as the youngest water polo player to represent Australia nationally and at the Olympic level.
Australia’s opening match is set for Friday, July 11, at 4:10 a.m. PT.
