Stanford University athletes achieved several notable moments across different sports in 2025.
In January, Jaylen Blakes secured a win for the men’s basketball team against North Carolina with a shot in the final two seconds, ending the game at 72-71. Blakes finished with 20 points and led all players with seven assists.
The women’s water polo team won their tenth NCAA title this year. Junior Juliette Dhalluin played a key role by scoring three goals in the victory over USC and was among four players who scored multiple times.
During a women’s soccer match in September, sophomore Eleanor Klinger scored twice within six minutes as Stanford defeated USC 5-1. Her second goal came from a long-range shot near the Big Ten logo on the far sideline.
Senior CJ Williams contributed significantly to Stanford football’s 31-10 win over Cal in November during the 128th Big Game. Williams led receivers with 76 yards and scored a 34-yard touchdown, marking Stanford’s first victory in this rivalry since 2020.
Another highlight from the Big Game included junior Jay Green returning a fumble for a 49-yard touchdown while football general manager Andrew Luck cheered mid-interview.
