Stanford University has released its 2026 baseball schedule, with the announcement made by David Esquer, the Clarke and Elizabeth Nelson Director of Baseball. The upcoming season will include 32 home games at Sunken Diamond and a total of 52 games.
The schedule features 28 matchups against teams that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Tournament, including five contests versus College World Series qualifiers Arizona, Oregon State, and Louisville.
Stanford is preparing for its second year in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Before the regular season begins, Stanford will host San Jose State in an exhibition on November 2 and visit Cal Poly on November 15.
The season officially starts on February 13 at the College Baseball Series in Surprise, Arizona. Stanford opens against Arizona and will also play Michigan and Oregon State during the three-day tournament. The team then travels to Grand Canyon University for a game on February 16.
Continuing its early-season tradition, Stanford will host Cal State Fullerton from February 20-23 for four games. On February 25, there will be an exhibition against Waseda University from Japan. Following this, Stanford faces Fresno State—a team that participated in last year’s NCAA Tournament—from February 27 through March 1. A nine-game homestand concludes with a matchup against Nevada before ACC play begins.
Conference action starts March 6 on the road at Wake Forest. Home conference series include Pittsburgh (March 13-15) and Utah Valley (March 21-23), with Utah Valley being last year’s Western Athletic Conference champion. That series includes a scheduled doubleheader on March 22.
Other notable matchups feature road trips to Virginia Tech (March 27-29), Louisville (April 10-12), Notre Dame (May 1-3), and California (May 14-16). Home ACC opponents include Clemson (April 3-5), Miami (April 17-19), Florida State (April 24-26), and NC State (May 8-10).
Midweek non-conference games are set both home and away with local teams such as Santa Clara, UC Davis, San Francisco, Saint Mary’s—who won last year’s West Coast Conference tournament—and San Jose State.
The ACC Tournament is scheduled for May 19-24 at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina.
