Two former Stanford Cardinal football players, Austin Hooper and Colby Parkinson, will continue their postseason run as they advance to the NFL Championship Round. Both athletes play tight end positions, highlighting Stanford’s reputation for producing talent at that spot.

Hooper and Parkinson are set to compete for a place in Super Bowl LX, which will be held in Santa Clara on Sunday, February 8. Their advancement comes after a competitive Divisional Round in which most games were decided in the final minutes.

Meanwhile, the playoff journey ended for other former Stanford players such as Christian McCaffrey and Drew Dalman. Despite their teams’ losses, McCaffrey received recognition off the field by being named the winner of the 2026 Bart Starr Award. The award honors outstanding character, integrity, and leadership both on and off the football field.

In recent games, Colby Parkinson contributed significantly with a notable 35-yard gain during the Los Angeles Rams’ overtime victory against the Chicago Bears.

The upcoming Championship Round schedule features Austin Hooper with the New England Patriots facing the Denver Broncos at noon Pacific Time on CBS. Colby Parkinson and the Los Angeles Rams will play against the Seattle Seahawks at 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time on FOX.
