Santa Clara women’s rowing competed in two events over the weekend, sweeping Seattle University on Friday and participating in the Portland Invite on Saturday, according to an April 11 announcement.
The dual against Seattle saw Santa Clara win all eight races. The teams raced three times each with their Varsity Eight (V8) and Second Varsity Eight (2V8) boats, as well as twice with the Varsity Four (V4). The results of these races are available online.
On Saturday at the Portland Invite, Santa Clara finished second in both their V8 and 2V8 events. Full results for this competition can also be found online.
The competitions mark a strong performance for Santa Clara as they continue their season. Sweeping all races against Seattle highlights the team’s current form heading into upcoming regattas.
Looking ahead, Santa Clara is scheduled to face Seattle again on April 25 before competing in the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships from April 25-26.
