Santa Clara University’s women’s volleyball team had two players recognized by the West Coast Conference (WCC) as Players of the Week. The announcement was made Monday by the conference.
Sophomore setter Macy Hinshaw received her fifth WCC Setter of the Week award for this season, setting a new program record. Junior libero Lexi Trapani earned her first WCC Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Hinshaw recorded 35 assists in each match against Washington State and Seattle, averaging 11.67 assists per set. She also contributed 11 digs against Washington State, marking her 12th double-double of the season. Hinshaw led the conference in both assists per set (10.03) and total assists (1,154). According to Santa Clara, “This is the fifth time this season Hinshaw has won WCC Player of the Week honors, surpassing Becky Potter for the most in a single season in program history.”
Trapani finished with 18 digs against Washington State and 14 against Seattle, bringing her total to 32 digs for the weekend and an average of 5.33 digs per set. She completed her season as the WCC leader in total digs (450) and digs per set (3.91). Santa Clara stated, “This is the first WCC Player of the Week award for Trapani.”
The Broncos ended their 2025 season on Saturday with a win over Seattle, securing their 12th conference victory—their highest since achieving 13 wins in 2015.
