Santa Clara University men’s golfers Alvaro Muller, J.P. Odland, and Calder Overfelt have been named 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). They are among 556 NCAA Division I golfers to receive this recognition for achievements in both athletics and academics.

The Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar award is given annually to student-athletes who meet specific academic and athletic criteria. Eligible nominees must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors in NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA institutions, or in their final year of eligibility at NJCAA schools. Requirements include participation in at least half of their team’s competitive rounds, maintaining a stroke average below 76.0 for NCAA Division I athletes, and holding a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. Recipients must also demonstrate high moral character and remain in good standing with their college or university.

Santa Clara has now had multiple student-athletes earn this honor for six consecutive years. For the past five seasons, at least three Broncos have received the distinction each year.

The full list of 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars is available on the GCAA website.
