On Friday, the Santa Clara men’s tennis doubles team competed in the consolation round at the Battle in the Bay Classic held at the California Tennis Club in San Francisco. The duo of Alexander Watanabe Eriksson and John Kim faced Jelani Sarr and Niels Villard from Arizona State, losing 6-3.

This match marked the second consecutive loss for Watanabe Eriksson and Kim at this tournament. The pair had entered the main draw after winning a doubles wildcard tournament last weekend.

The Battle in the Bay Classic will continue on Saturday, with Watanabe Eriksson and Kim scheduled to participate in additional singles matches.
