Santa Clara Athletics Hall of Famer Terry Weekes died on October 22, 2025. Weekes played as a goalkeeper for the Santa Clara Broncos men’s soccer team from 1973 to 1976 and was inducted into the university’s Hall of Fame in 1994.

Weekes was chosen by the San Jose Earthquakes as the fourth overall pick in the 1976 North American Soccer League Draft. After his time as a player, he returned to Santa Clara University and also coached at UCLA.

He later worked as National Marketing Director for Adidas America and for the United States Soccer Federation during the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

In 2017, Weekes received recognition with an honored jersey displayed inside Stevens Stadium at Buck Shaw Field.
