Representative Ro Khanna, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 17th district since 2017, recently made several statements on social media addressing judicial reform, biofuel policy, and immigration enforcement.
On May 13, 2026, Khanna criticized recent Supreme Court actions in a tweet: “The Supreme Court has engaged in an ugly recidivism that has marked the fastest rollback of Black political rights since Reconstruction. 18 year terms limits on Justices now. Expand the court from 9 to 13 Justices now.”
In another post dated May 14, 2026, he explained his support for expanded access to E15 biofuels: “I voted yes on year-round E15 because it’s a practical win for farmers and families. Expanding access to homegrown biofuels strengthens markets for farms and supports rural jobs. Consumers deserve more choice at the pump and relief from skyrocketing gas prices caused by Trump’s”.
On May 15, 2026, Khanna commented on an immigration case involving family separation: “Wendy was arrested by local police and detained. She begged officers not to keep Oliver, her 3 year old, separate from her. ICE refused. Her beautiful, kind son is now dead.”
Khanna has served in Congress since replacing Mike Honda in 2017 and currently resides in Fremont. Born in Philadelphia in 1976, he is an alumnus of the University of Chicago and Yale Law School.
