Khanna addressed the growing financial influence of lobbying firms in American politics on April 6, 2025. He highlighted that these firms accumulated a record $2.2 billion in 2024 and $19 billion over the last decade. Advocating for reform, Khanna stated, “The needs of Americans should always come before the interests of wealthy lobbyists. It’s time we get money out of politics by banning PAC and lobbyists’ donations.”
On the same day, Khanna turned his attention to healthcare. He expressed concern over the financial barriers faced by Americans in accessing essential medical services. Citing concerning statistics, he noted that over 10 million people could not afford medications in the past three months, and over 30 million anticipated being unable to pay for required medical care.
