U.S. Congressman Ro Khanna, who has been representing California’s 17th district since succeeding Mike Honda in 2017, recently made a series of notable remarks on his social media platform. Khanna, who resides in Fremont and was born in Philadelphia in 1976, continues to focus on issues concerning economic and health policies.

On April 5, 2025, Khanna reported that a local board game manufacturer, Edaron, LLC, located in South Hadley, Massachusetts, had shut its operations, leading to “the cutting of 24 jobs.” The closure’s impact on the community forms part of ongoing economic challenges faced by manufacturing sectors. “Board game manufacturer, Edaron, LLC closed in South Hadley, Massachusetts, cutting 24 jobs.”

Khanna addressed the growing financial influence of lobbying firms in American politics on April 6, 2025. He highlighted that these firms accumulated a record $2.2 billion in 2024 and $19 billion over the last decade. Advocating for reform, Khanna stated, “The needs of Americans should always come before the interests of wealthy lobbyists. It’s time we get money out of politics by banning PAC and lobbyists’ donations.”

On the same day, Khanna turned his attention to healthcare. He expressed concern over the financial barriers faced by Americans in accessing essential medical services. Citing concerning statistics, he noted that over 10 million people could not afford medications in the past three months, and over 30 million anticipated being unable to pay for required medical care. Khanna endorsed systemic change, proposing “It’s clear we need a new system. We need Medicare for All.”
