U.S. Representative Ro Khanna, who represents California’s 17th district in Congress, posted a series of messages on September 12, 2025, addressing generational change in politics, U.S. military aid policy, and local job losses.

In his first post on September 12 at 14:56 UTC, Khanna stated: “We talked about why the old guard needs to step aside and we need a new generation to stand for human rights & tackle economic inequality.

Thank you @ivehaditpodcast for having me on and your voice for a moral politics.”

Later that day at 15:42 UTC, he addressed U.S. foreign policy and arms sales: “Americans have had enough with aiding foreign wars.

@RepThomasMassie and my NDAA amendment would have blocked the US from sending 2,000-lb bombs to Israel that too often cause mass civilian tragedy. We did not get a vote on it.”

In a third post at 20:05 UTC, Khanna reported local economic news: “International Paper is shutting down two packaging plants in Edinburg, Texas, cutting 137 manufacturing jobs.”

Khanna has served in Congress since 2017 after replacing Mike Honda as representative for California’s 17th district. Born in Philadelphia in 1976 and currently residing in Fremont, Khanna holds degrees from the University of Chicago (BA) and Yale University (JD).
