Representative Ro Khanna, who has served in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 17th District since 2017, recently shared a series of statements on social media regarding legislative priorities and ongoing efforts in Congress. Khanna, a Yale Law School graduate born in Philadelphia and currently residing in Fremont, addressed both cryptocurrency regulation and the release of files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
On July 15, 2025, Khanna commented on pending cryptocurrency legislation: “While I am inclined to support GENIUS & CLARITY to having some regulatory framework for crypto instead of the wild west, I strongly support these amendments to strengthen the legislation and I hope they will be adopted this week by the House or before the legislation heads to”.
Later that day, he highlighted congressional action regarding documents connected to Jeffrey Epstein: “We will get our first up or down vote on the Epstein release today. I am about to speak on the House floor. We will not stop until the Epstein files are released.”
In a subsequent post from July 15, 2025, Khanna reiterated his position on accountability and transparency: “A nation that chooses to protect rich and powerful men who abandon, abuse, and assault young girls is a nation that has lost its moral purpose. We get a vote this afternoon. I will continue to fight for the release of the Epstein files.”
Khanna succeeded Mike Honda in Congress in 2017. He was born in 1976 and earned his BA from the University of Chicago before completing his JD at Yale University.
