Rep. Ro Khanna, a U.S. Congressman serving California’s 17th district, has voiced his concerns over recent developments in federal labor policies and healthcare reforms through a series of posts on X.com. Khanna, serving since 2017, has been actively addressing issues that impact the American workforce and healthcare system.

On March 29, Khanna openly criticized former President Donald Trump’s executive order. He stated, “Trump signed an executive order canceling the collective bargaining rights for 67% of the federal workforce — making it harder to demand fair pay, benefits, and safe working conditions. How is this a pro-worker presidency?”. This comment underscores Khanna’s disapproval of the executive order’s effect on federal workers’ rights.

Later the same day, Khanna expressed his concerns regarding prescription drug costs in America. On March 29, he posted, “Prescription drugs already cost Americans an average of almost three times more than other countries. Our priority should be to cut healthcare costs. We need to pass @SenSanders and my Prescription Drug Price Relief Act and set a cap on drug costs. And we need to build more drug”. This highlights Khanna’s commitment to reducing healthcare expenses and his support for legislative actions to control drug prices.

The following day, Khanna addressed the broader issue of increasing healthcare spending in America. On March 30, he commented, “By 2032, America’s medical spending is set to reach $7.7 trillion. We are spending the most on healthcare than any other nation in the world, yet our citizens are still struggling to afford adequate care. This is unacceptable in America. We need Medicare for All that will drive”. This statement emphasizes his advocacy for Medicare for All as a solution to the escalating costs of medical care.
