There were three gas stations in cities across San Benito County selling premium gas at the lowest price of $5.69 per gallon in the week ending Mar. 28, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.

The average reported price of premium gas across the county was $6.09 per gallon.

Among 15 gas stations in cities within San Benito County, eight offered premium gas.

The average reported price for a gallon of premium gas in California was $6.16, up from the previous week.

U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
